The Upper Captiva Civic Association, founded in 1992, with more than 150 members, is the largest organization on North Captiva, and is supported by a majority of home owners. Membership is voluntary. There are four open membership meetings each year. The annual dues are $50, for which members receive the quarterly newsletter and other island-related correspondence, two copies of the biannual phone directory, decal authorizing free golf cart parking and embarking at Barnacle Phil's dock, and the knowledge that you're supporting island activities that benefit us all. The mission of UCCA is to:
• To provide a forum in which to address common concerns
• To establish goals that enhance the quality of island life
• To communicate regularly with island owners
• To serve as a link with local and state government
